Growing Strong and Healthy, originally published in 1939 under the title Growing Big and Strong, is a highly readable ten lesson study of the basics of good health. Living Books Curriculum chose this book after a review of contemporary literature revealed limited health-related science books for young children that are well-written and do not talk down to the young child.
