This book is part of our 1st grade curriculum and I cannot say enough good about it! For starters, the illustrations by the children are perfect and exactly relevant to the lesson at hand. I also love that it involves delving into Scripture. There are too many devotionals out there at this age that have been watered down and added to, but with the book, it is accurate. Only the language has been modified to a child's comprehension. We incorporate notebooking with this book and stretch the 3 lessons per week with the memory verse enclosed for reciting on the "off days." I've recommended this book to a friend of mine who'd been endlessly looking for a good Bible-based lesson book and after I showed her ours, she was thrilled and immediately ordered it. I recently asked how she was doing with it...she said her son also loves it and was very pleased with her decision to buy it.
