The Company |
Founded by Jim and Sheila Carroll, Living Books Curriculum offers homeschooling parents curriculum packages and materials based on the educational philosophy of Charlotte Mason. The curriculum packages provide instruction in the traditional subjects such as history, language arts, and science and incorporate classic literature, nature studies, narration, storytelling, and the use of local resources to enhance the educational experience. In addition to founding Living Books Curriculum, the Carrolls created Education in a Box, a program designed to provide developing nations with high-quality educational materials and proven teaching methods that are written in the native language of the people they serve. To further the work of Education in a Box, Jim and Sheila formed a non-profit, tax-exempt organization called Worldwide Educational Resources. Its purpose is to facilitate communication, fundraising, and curriculum development. Jim and Sheila actively represent Living Books Curriculum in the industry and their local Michigan community. Upcoming speaking engagements, trade shows, sponsored community events, and company news are posted to the “What’s New” page.
